Welcoming international students from the School of Architecture & Design, Assumption University (AAU) to a material knowledge sharing session at the Matdept Flagship Store.
It was an opportunity for us to engage in conversations with a new generation of architects and designers those who will one day shape the identity of the buildings they create.
Seeing materials through a catalog is one experience, but touching natural stone veneer firsthand and understanding how the material interacts with light creates an entirely different perspective.
This is the experience we intended to share with them today.
Throughout the session, Supheer Chantrangoon shared the ideas and principles behind the materials we work with every day from the origins and production process of natural stone veneer to the key considerations in selecting materials that align with different design concepts.
Our goal was not simply to present our products, but to open a conversation about how material choices influence the character, durability, and story of each space.

We would like to sincerely thank all students and faculty members from AAU for joining us and sharing this meaningful experience.
We hope this visit has offered a new perspective on natural stone as a material, and we look forward to seeing how their future designs will continue to explore and take this material to new possibilities.
