When the lights are off, the stone presents itself as it naturally is—its organic patterns, deep surface texture, and colors formed within the stone itself. As light passes through, details hidden within the stone gradually emerge, revealing colors and dimensions that remain unseen under normal lighting. A once-static surface comes alive.
A Material That Works with Light
The Translucent Stone is made from natural stone veneer reinforced with a clear resin backing. This construction allows light to pass through the stone more evenly while retaining the key qualities of stone veneer—including its lightweight, flexible, water-resistant properties and ease of installation compared to full-thickness stone slabs.
The lighting effect also responds to the type of light source selected. Warm White creates a warm, intimate, and deeper atmosphere, while Cool White or Daylight produces a cleaner and more defined appearance. Colored lighting can take the atmosphere in an entirely different direction, with each lighting choice creating a distinct visual effect.
