From Stone to the Innovation Material of the Year
STONESURFACE Natural Stone Veneer was selected by the ASA Platform as one of the Selected Materials 2025, receiving the Smart Design Award at Architect’25, organized by the Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage.
This recognition reaffirms our belief that natural stone remains a material with vast potential for innovation, opening new possibilities for architectural design and material development.
Stone is a material with inherent limitations.
Its patterns are inherently shaped by their natural origin, and its physical properties cannot be modified as freely as those of synthetic materials. Yet despite these limitations, natural stone continues to grow in popularity as a material for architectural applications.
This challenge inspired the development of natural stone veneer a material driven by new technologies that elevate performance and craftsmanship to a premium standard while preserving the authentic character of natural stone. Rather than replacing or disguising its nature, our goal is to make natural stone more practical and versatile for contemporary architectural design.
The ASA Platform Selected Materials 2025 Award Ceremony was held on Thursday, 1 May 2025, as part of the main stage program at Architect’25. The event celebrated this year’s selected and award-winning materials and products.
The ceremony was honored by a welcome address and congratulatory remarks from Ase Sookyang, President of the Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage, who recognized the achievements of all award recipients.
Receiving the Smart Design Award this year is more than a recognition of STONESURFACE’s product quality. It also reflects the belief that natural stone can continue to evolve through innovation, meeting the demands of contemporary architecture without compromising the authenticity and character that define the material itself.
