A Milestone for GOLHEM

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the ASA Platform and the Association of Siamese Architects under Royal Patronage for recognizing the value of our continuous commitment to material innovation, and for giving GOLHEM the opportunity to be part of a platform that highlights the year’s most promising materials and products for the architecture and construction industry.
When Clay Becomes a New Material in the Architect’s Palette
GOLHEM was born from the ambition to make the most of natural resources through the innovation of Modified Clay Material (MCM). We believe MCM offers a new alternative for Thailand’s architectural industry.
As Supheer Chantrangoon, one of our team members, once shared, the building materials industry today is often confined to two conventional choices: natural materials or synthetic materials designed to imitate them. We wanted to encourage people to look at materials from a different perspective to appreciate the unique character of each material without the expectation that it has to replace something else.
This idea gave rise to a definition that we are particularly proud of: MCM as “a new element in the architect’s material palette.”
We are proud to present a material whose colors come naturally from mineral pigments found in clay and finely ground stone. No artificial pigments are added, no printed patterns are applied, and no colors are digitally selected.
As a result, every panel possesses its own unique character and maintains its natural appearance over time, resisting fading even when exposed to changing outdoor weather conditions throughout the year.
Our first objective was to develop a material that is thin, lightweight, and easy to install without the need for additional structural support. We wanted MCM to be a practical solution for façade applications while bringing a distinctive architectural expression to every project that chooses our material.
But our journey does not end there. GOLHEM will continue to push the boundaries of what thin surface materials can achieve. Our vision is to expand the potential of MCM beyond conventional surface finishes, creating a material that does more than decorate it becomes a tool that empowers architects and designers to bring their ideas to life.
