SILVER CLOUD | The Drift of Mist
A white-grey granite whose surface is covered with countless small, dark grey striations, running diagonally and densely in the same direction across the entire slab, resembling drifting rain or passing mist. The density is uneven in some areas the grey lines cluster together into darker patches, while in others they thin out enough to reveal an open, airy white ground beneath.
Unlike marble with its continuously flowing veins, this stone’s defining feature is its randomly scattered mineral grains, giving the surface a granular, speckled quality rather than a linear one. Viewed as a whole, it evokes the atmosphere of silver clouds drifting at low altitude, uneven in density and thickness.
The texture is coarse and clearly granular, with a fine sand-like feel and no gloss conveying a raw, natural quality with dimension drawn from the scattering of mineral grains, true to the name Silver Cloud.
