Stone Veneer, or natural stone veneer panels, is a surface cladding material that authentically captures the beauty of real stone in a thinner, lighter form. Designed to meet the demands of premium architectural decoration whether for building walls, countertops, or furniture each panel features a genuine natural stone face with unique patterns and color variations, clearly reflecting the distinct character of each stone type.

Stonesurface’s Stone Veneer products are manufactured using proprietary technology from the innovation owner in Germany, through a process of slicing the surface layer from carefully selected natural stone slabs, then reinforced with a fiberglass backing to enhance strength and flexibility. The result is a natural stone panel that is thin and lightweight, yet retains all the properties of genuine stone. Origin and Stone Type

Stone veneer panels can be produced from stones with natural layer-separating properties, such as Slate, Quartzite, Phyllite, Granite, Sandstone, and Marble. Stonesurface sources its carefully selected stone from quarries in India, formed through natural geological processes spanning over 200 million years.

Properties of Stone Veneer Panels

2mm. Thickness

A thin layer of only 0.8-2 millimeters is extracted using a method invented by German inventors to create thin stone veneer sheets. The sheets have an average thickness ofjust 1.5-2.0 millimeters.

Most construction products commonly incorporate these volatile compounds to enhance product performance. These substances can accumulate in the surrounding environment over extended periods, including in air, water, and soil, and are harmful to both the environment and living organisms.

When VOCs contaminate the environment, they create pollution and pose health risks to humans. Entry into the body through inhalation, skin absorption, or regular contact and exposure may cause health hazards including immune system impairment, dizziness, eye irritation, and breathing difficulties. In cases of high exposure, loss of consciousness may occur.

Installation Method for Stone Veneer

Prepare the surface to be smooth, clean, and completely dry.

Begin by preparing the surface to be smooth, clean, and completely dry. Compatible substrates include plastered brick walls, fiber cement boards, and MDF/HDF panels. Avoid applying primer as it will reduce adhesive bonding strength. Next, select stone panels according to the desired pattern and color tone, arranging and alternating their positions to achieve a visually balanced and beautiful pattern rhythm before making any cuts.

Cutting Stone Veneer

Cut panels using a circular saw or angle grinder with precision, then smooth the edges with fine-grit sandpaper. Apply high-quality polyurethane adhesive such as 3M PU 525, using a grid pattern for interior applications and vertical lines for exterior use to facilitate water drainage. Leave a gap of approximately 1.5 to 2 mm between panels to accommodate material expansion. Corners can be finished with either a 45-degree miter cut or an overlap edge for a continuous stone surface appearance.

Post-Installation Cleaning

Once installation is complete, wipe the surface clean with a damp cloth to fully reveal the beautiful and luxurious texture of the natural stone.

Translucent Stone

The front face of the translucent stone panel features a genuine natural stone surface. The back of the translucent panel has a clear resin finish, allowing light to pass through. Hidden light sources beneath the panel add a vibrant color effect. When the lights are off, the natural colors and patterns of the genuine stone surface remain beautifully visible. When illuminated, a stunning and distinctive colored light effect is achieved. Suitable for interior and semi-exterior applications.
